Enrich Your Future with a Scholarship

The Enrich Your Future scholarship program provides $5,000 to five eligible graduating high school students & $5,000 to five eligible undergraduates to support their higher education or vocational education pursuits. Enrich Your Future Scholarship funds must be applied for expenses related to full-time enrollment at an accredited college, university, technical, or trade school in pursuit of an associate degree, bachelor's degree, or other advanced-degree program. 

Scholarship Supporting Future Nuclear Innovators

The Rick Benson Nuclear Futures Scholarship, presented by Enrichment Federal Credit Union, honors a legacy rooted in innovation, beginning with the scientific breakthroughs of the Manhattan Project and continuing through decades of progress in nuclear innovation. With deep ties to a community that has driven nuclear advancement for decades, Enrichment FCU proudly invests in the leaders who will shape tomorrow’s nuclear innovations.

This scholarship supports students pursuing degrees in engineering, nuclear science, nuclear energy, or related STEM fields that contribute to the advancement of nuclear innovation.

Things to Know Before You Apply: 


Eligibility Requirements:
  1. Student Status: Applicant must be a 2026 graduating high school senior or a student currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, technical, or trade school in pursuit of an associate degree, bachelor's degree, or other advanced-degree program. 
  2. GPA: Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50.
  3. Credit Union Membership: Applicants must be members of the Credit Union and in good standing.
  4. Educational Institutions: Funds can be applied to accredited colleges, universities, technical schools, or trade schools.
Application Process:
  1. Application Form: Complete and submit the scholarship application form available on the Credit Union’s website.
  2. Transcripts: Provide an official transcript showing a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher.
  3. Membership Verification: Proof of Credit Union membership. The scholarship applicant must be the primary owner of the account.
  4. Essay: Submit an essay (300-500 words) explaining how this scholarship would “Enrich Your Future.” You can approach this from any perspective. Examples might include a statement of need, how the scholarship would enable your pursuit of a specific career, help you reach defined goals, or achieve a better way of life.
  5. Letters of Recommendation: Please submit two letters of recommendation. One from a teacher, counselor, or other school affiliated staff member, and the other from an employer, community group, or other personal, non-family source.
  6. Senior Photo: Please include a copy of the applicant’s senior photo to be used on Enrichment’s website, newsletter, and/or other promotional materials.
Selection Criteria:
  1. Academic Performance: Strong academic record.
  2. Community Service: Exemplifies the Credit Union mission of People Helping People through community service and/or extracurricular activities.
  3. Membership Standing: Good standing with the Credit Union.
  4. Essay Quality: Clarity, originality, relevance, and statement of need.
Disbursement of Funds: 
  1. Verification of Enrollment: Provide proof of full-time enrollment at a traditional or technical school. This can be provided by class enrollment or Student ID.
  2. Payment: Scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to the educational institution.
Important Dates:
  1. Application Deadline: All applications must be submitted by the end of the business day February 28, 2026.
  2. Notification of Winners: Winners will be notified by May 20, 2026.
  3. Fund Disbursement: Funds will be disbursed by August 15, 2026.
Conditions:
  1. Use of Funds: Scholarship funds must be used for tuition, fees, books, or other direct educational expenses.
  2. Non-Transferable: The scholarship is non-transferable and must be used by the winning applicant.
